Carl L. Johnson

 Author, Demonologist and C'thonicist

Carl L. Johnson has been investigating reports of strange phenomena for the past 54 years, beginning with early experiences in his family's house. 

As members of a parapsychological studies team based at Rhode Island College in Providence, Carl and his identical twin brother Keith were called in to investigate the Perron family's situation in Harrisville, Rhode Island, during August and September of 1973. The brothers followed up by consulting noted ghost-hunting couple Ed and Lorraine Warren, with whom they were associated, about the Perrons' situation. Ed and Lorraine elected to become involved. Forty years later, this inspired a motion picture titled The Conjuring.

Carl L. and Keith E. Johnson were featured on the first two seasons of the popular television series, Ghost Hunters, leaving the show after those two years to better pursue their own interests. Carl has numerous other television credits, including The Haunted on Animal Planet, Finding Bigfoot on Animal Planet, A Haunting on Destination America, Ghost Adventures on Travel Channel, Mysteries Decoded on CW Network, and a recent episode of A Haunting: "Inner Demons" featuring Carl and research partner, Elise Giammarco Carlson.

I was born in 1965 in Lowell, Massachusetts, where I still reside. As a young child, the television show “In Search Of” with Leonard Nemoy sparked my interest in Cryptozoology.

After a longtime interest and reading information on the internet in the 90’s my eyes were opened to the fact that it wasn’t just a West Coast phenomena. The book Monsters of the North Woods by Paul Bartholomew really hit home and I realized that New York and New England has had a long history amongst native people and early explorers involving the Sasquatch in the Northeast.My interest increased after attending a BFRO expedition in White Hall, NY. After talking to several local eye witnesses, one being a police officer, about their experiences, I was completely hooked. I share Big Foot as well as other crytozoology findings from my many camping sessions in search for the truth.
